With nearly 2000 locations, Applebees claims that it's too difficult to provide any nutritional information beyond fat, fiber and Weight Watcher points. This is disappointing, and indicates (to me) that Applebees does not have much of a commitment to health and nutrition.
THE source if you want to see the Weight Watchers nutritional information on the Applebee's dishes.
I didn't find this article particularly helpful and was a little disappointed that there wasn't more information given about Applebee's products on the page, whether they were related to Weight Watchers or not.
That's BS. I thought every restaurant was required, by law, to list all of their nutritional facts. If Arby's and McDonalds are doing it, the fancier restaurants should have to also. What do they have to hide, I wonder?
What disturbs me is that what little information that I can find on Applebee's nutrition is for a menu item that Applebee's no longer has on their menu. It seems that the few healthier items that I can find, especially on the Appetizer menu, are no longer available at Applebee's and have been replaced with new 'mystery' items of unknown calorie and fat content. TGI Fridays and Olive Garden are just as bad about their lack of nutrition information.
would love to be able to comment on the article, but I can't even open it! Dietfacts.com seems to have a bit more nutritional info, so based on these comments, I am wondering where they got it! Hard to calculate if you go for the grilled vs. fried chicken in a salad and get the dressing on the side.....
I love Applebees, but because of recently developing pregnancy related high blood pressure, I have to watch my sodium intake. I can type in almost any fast food, or other "lower" chain restaurant and get their nutrition facts, but when I looked for Applebees there was nothing to be found. This makes me wonder what kind of quality food they are using, if it is the same quality as McDonalds and such, and I why I am paying double the price? This is ridiculous. They should be required by law.
I will have to agree with another Applebee's guest. If other restaurants can give you the nutritional value of their food...Applebess's should do the same. I ask tonight for the nutritional value of my fish meal and was told to get on the computer and get it......what a laugh! ! ! I spent 30 min trying to bring up some information...nothing doing...there was NO WAY to get the information I wanted...D.J.S. Newton, Kansas
i work at applebee's and the companys official position on anything that would be remotely helpful of the nutrition of its food is crap. We are told when asked if our entres have msg, we are supposed to say "since we get our food from a varriety of different sources it is difficult to track where the food comes from and how it was processed." applebees is a company that gives nothing but the run around. however, dont take it out on your sever. its not our fault, and trust me, this company is just as aggrevating to you as it is to us...
