While acknowledging the importance of protein in our diets for synthesizing, maintaining, regulating and building necessary or specific substances in our bodies, this article cautions that too much protein in the diet can have adverse effects on our health, not the least of which is severe stress to our kidneys. Here's a site that provides good information on striking a balance in meeting our bodies' daily needs for achieving and maintaining good health through good nutrition.
